#37: Moonlight

Mesačnica has 3 main questions in the Journal that will help you continue to work persistently on your project. The end of the month is like a small New Year: it is a great opportunity to reflect on the previous month. In the article we will explain what it is good for.

Project diary: What you won't forget

Success doesn't come instantly, but small successes deserve to be celebrated too. Thanks to the monthly calendar, you will be aware of those successes and enjoy them!

Therefore, for the first question, write down which of your projects you worked on the most in the past month . What did you move the most? Which activities will you definitely not forget? What will you take from this into the next month as a lesson?

Use the free space to capture the flow of thoughts. Choose one thing and break it down. Or mark it with three bullet points. The method of filling is up to you.

The beauty of the Pareto Rule: It eliminates the unimportant

The Italian economist Wilfredo Pareto already noticed in the 19th century that 20% of the Italian nobles owned 80% of the land and published his theory about it. However, in today's language, it has gone viral. And people have noticed that similar logic can be applied to other areas:

  • 80% of the time you wear 20% of your clothes,
  • 80% of the problems at school are caused by 20% of the children,
  • 80% of revenue comes from 20% of customers.

However, we were interested in another example and the fact that 80% of project results come from 20% of project activities . Therefore, think about which activities are your key. Which ones will give you the best results?

You will probably find that:

  • making a list of the top 20 Slovak companies and calling each of them about cooperation can bring you more benefit than writing a database of companies that you downloaded from the Internet,
  • or that an hour of thinking about whether you are walking in the right direction will give you more than an hour of taking notepads and invoices for the financial close,

Monthly challenge: Focus on 1 thing

The monthly challenge you will focus on should be based on the half-yearly goals you set, which are linked to your five-year and ten-year plans.

So it doesn't have to be something that is directly related to your project (as in the previous two areas). As your monthly challenge, you can calmly solve sleep, healthy nutrition or relationships.

The point is that your monthly challenge contributes to making you feel better in life. Or to eliminate problems that prevent you from moving forward with your project.

Try to plan with what you really want to do, not just blindly throwing tasks on a list. Are your daily activities related to the monthly mordova? Do you remember to work on what you want to improve on that month? Our diary system won't let you rest on your laurels: that's a good thing!

Final tips

Did you find an interesting thought or quote during the month that is of particular value to you? Use the gray page at the beginning of each month and write your quote to our mudračka. At the end of the Journal, you will have 6 pages full of motivation - it will be much better for you to return to them.

Also get inspired by the educational window that we prepared for you together with Kamil. These are the resources we vouch for. It is a mix of books, magazines, videos, lectures and other resources, which we have divided into three categories:

  • For creatives,
  • For skill development,
  • To relax.

Add your own educational tip to them every month. Or share it with others in Journalists .

As Kamil would say, brutal!
