How to "start over"?
Do you ever feel like starting over? S press the imaginary Ctrl+Alt+Del and start writing a new sheet of paper?
According to Katy Milkman, author of How to Change: The Science of Getting from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be, you need to overcome several obstacles to do so. 🚧
The most important thing is that you need to start . Katy claims in the book that it is best to start after the so-called fresh start For Matt D'Avella, our favorite Youtuber, it's for example moving between the US and Australia, for other people it's a job change or the start of the calendar year. 📆
Does that mean you have to wait for big life milestones or focus your energy on New Year's resolutions?
Of course not. You can treat yourself to a fresh start much more often. Those of you who use Half-Yearly have a chance to restart twice a year, but we don't have that in mind now either.
Why couldn't every beginning of the month be a new start for you? 💡
After all, if you go by the Journal, just after today you will have a Monthly, in which you will evaluate your 6 areas of life. Regardless of whether it is your first, seventh or thirteenth Lunar New Year, you have exactly the same chance for a new start.
So, will you meet your resolutions or will they remain just wishful thinking from the Semester or Annual? 💪
PS: If, like us, you need to re-plan your goals from the beginning of the Journal, download the new Semi-Annual or Yearbook from us.
Download its template for free on our website , print it in the resolution you need, stick it in the Journal, put it in your back pocket or stick it where you will see it.
Planning is not about blindly following everything you write down. But about constant iterations and figuring out what's really important to you.
