"Kežmarák" is a true climbing concept. Its 900m north face has no rival in the High Tatras. Dozens of routes of the highest difficulty lead up it. Malý Kežmarský štít stood at the birth of a strong generation of Czechoslovak climbers who later made their mark worldwide.

The one who knows it best is Pavol Jackovič, the elder statesman of Tatra climbing. Over 25 years, he managed to climb all 109 routes on the "Kežmarák" face, including 26 of his own first ascents. Hats off, or in this case, helmets off.

Slovakia has beautiful nature, but one walk in the mountains will also show you a sad sight – missing forests, reckless logging, forest disasters.
