Ošarpance – Adriena Lehocká

The mythical three Tatra towers? Those are Ošarpans. This spur of the ridge of the Dragon Shield is a great attraction for many climbers. With a southeast 150m wall, with oppositely layered plates and the "Path of the Invalids", we could not miss them in the climbing collection. 

They also enchanted Vlad Tatarek, the legend of Tatra climbing. Nicknamed "Gipsy" among the Tatra people, he started out as a porter at Zbojnícká chata. He later became a member of the Mountain Service .

He had countless first ascents to his credit. Some have not been repeated to this day. Together with a group of volunteers, he also contributed to the clearing of frequently climbed routes in the Tatras.

However, he did not have time to implement other plans. Tragically, he died in the Ganku massif while climbing the Puškáš pillar from Rumanová dolinka.

Every year, the "Memorial of Vlad Tatarka and Petr Šperka" is held in his honor. Even our Poustr by Adriena Lehocká is a tribute to a real Tatra giant.
